| The Municipal Law Enforcement
Division is responsible for the enforcement of municipal by-laws
including the Property Standards By-law. The Officer will
investigate and respond to complaints received from the public.
The municipality seeks voluntary compliance and will proceed with
legal action, if required, to gain compliance.

Questions How do I Register a Complaint about my neighbours Property?
- The complaint must be
filed in writing, complete with the senders name, address and telephone
number, together with the address of the property of concern and the nature of
the complaints.
Are Complaints Confidential?
- Yes. All complaints are private and confidential and protected
pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. No
name will be disclosed with respect to the investigation.
Does the Township take any complaints over the phone?
- Yes. However, they are
limited to burning, littering and parking as they occur. All other
complaints must be made in writing.
Will I have to attend Court?
- Only if charges are laid and a trial is requested, you may be required to
attend as a witness.
