Emergency Management
The Township of Severn
has formulated and maintains and Emergency Plan. The Township of Severn
has appointed a Community Emergency Management Co-ordinator (CEMC) and
Community Control Group (CCG) to oversee the Plan, as outlined in the
Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
The objective of the
Township's Emergency Management Program is to assit in providing for the
protection of life and property by identifying risks and hazards and by
establishing plans to mitigate the effects within the community when a major
emergency occurs.
