Municipal By-Law Enforcement
Municipal Law Enforcement is under the jurisdiction of the Chief Building Official and is responsible for the enforcement of municipal by-laws. The Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will investigate and respond to complaints received from the public. The municipality seeks compliance and will proceed with legal action, if required, to gain compliance.
The Municipal Law Enforcement Officers are responsible for the enforcement of the Township’s By-laws, proactively and through the investigation of complaints. Please note that Municipal Law does not respond to anonymous complaints. Complaints can be filed electronically, regular mail, or in person by completing the By-law Complaint Form. The Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will work with residents to obtain compliance with the Township By-laws.

The Weed Control Act applies only to those weeds which are designated as ‘noxious’ when:
- they have negative impact on Agricultural operations and/or
- they have negative impact on Horticultural operations
