Township of Severn is working to identify, remove, and prevent different types of barriers for people with disabilities, to make our community a fully accessible place to work, live, and play.

The draft 2024 to 2029 Accessibility Plan is the five-year road map to help Severn reach its accessibility requirements and contribute to the goal of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) for an accessible Ontario.

Severn is looking for one new member for the Committee.  The appointment will be from December 6, 2023 through to the end of the Council term of November 2026.

Schedule change: Notice of road closure for Boyd Road on October 19 and 20

Expect delays as a result of road resurfacing

Boyd Road (from Canal Road to Cambrian Road) will be closed on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for road resurfacing.

Local traffic will be permitted, but delays should be expected.

Project notice: Severn Falls shorewall reconstruction

Severn, Ontario: The Severn Falls Dock shorewall rehabilitation project is scheduled to begin by October 10, 2023. The project will involve removing and reconstructing the existing shorewall at 1730 Earl Haid Avenue in Severn Falls. This work will improve public water access at Severn Falls, ensure user safety, and allow for more effective maintenance of the area.

Severn, Ontario: Township of Severn has started construction on three new multi-use sports courts that will be located in Marchmont Community Park, Coldwater Fairgrounds, and Washago Centennial Park.
