Notice of road closure for Coldwater Road on April 15

Notice of road closure

Coldwater Road (Gill Street to Community Centre Drive) will be closed on Monday, April 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree removal at 74 Coldwater Road. 

A detour will be available via Gill Street to Sunset Crescent to Community Centre Drive.

Road restrictions will be lifted on April 15, 2024

The Seasonal Load Restrictions By-law restricts loads on most Township roads to a maximum of five tonnes per axle in the spring starting on March 1 and are in effect until around the end of May.

This restriction is put in place to protect our roads when they may be weakened by excess water in the road base and can then be damaged by heavy vehicles.

Notice of disposition and sale of unopened road allowance (1478 Balkwill Line)

In accordance with the Township of Severn’s Sale of Land Policy and the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, the Corporation of the Township of Severn hereby gives notice that the Township proposes to stop up, close, declare surplus, and sell the unopened road allowance abutting 1478 Balkwill Line.
